Who We Are

The George Spady Centre is an inner city non-profit agency incorporated under the Societies Act. The Centre has been in operation since 1983 and offers a number of basic services: coffee drop-in, overnight shelter (for people under the influence of alcohol or drugs), detoxification unit, referral services to treatment programs.

The emphasis at the George Spady Centre is on the stabilization and restoration of clients' health in an accepting and non-judgemental atmosphere. We believe that people are entitled to be treated with respect and dignity whatever their condition may be when arriving at the Centre.
